Professional footballers do not only train during practice, but also perform warm-ups every day. A special daily 15-minute routine maintains flexibility, keeps muscle tone, and reduces the risk of injury.
Morning Warm-up Program (15 minutes)
1-3 minutes: General Warm-up
- Walking in place and arm circles โ 1 minute
- High knees โ 1 minute
- Lateral steps โ 1 minute
4-8 minutes: Dynamic Stretching
- Leg swings forward โ 10 times per leg
- Leg swings sideways โ 10 times per leg
- Knee rotations โ 10 times each side
- Hip joint rotations โ 10 times each side
- Waist rotations โ 10 times each side
9-12 minutes: Strength Exercises
- Squats โ 15 times
- Lunges (forward step) โ 10 times per leg
- Plank โ 30 seconds
- Calf raises โ 20 times
13-15 minutes: Balance
- Standing on one leg โ 30 seconds per leg
- Single-leg squats โ 5 times per leg
- Standing on one leg with eyes closed โ 15 seconds per leg
Weekly Additions
Monday and Thursday: Additional 10 minutes of strength exercises (push-ups, burpees, mountain climbers).
Wednesday and Saturday: Additional 10 minutes of stretching (yoga poses).
Consistency is Key
15 minutes every day equals 91 hours of exercise per year. This time significantly improves the quality of your football, reduces muscle injuries, and enhances overall health. Take care of your body even outside of match days!
