Load management is the art of keeping a player's training and match load at an optimal level. Excessive load leads to injury, while insufficient load leads to poor fitness. Key metrics measured via GPS devices include: total distance, high-intensity running, number of accelerations, and PlayerLoad (body movement index).

The Acute:Chronic Workload Ratio (ACWR) is the most important metric. This is the ratio of the last 1 week's load to the average load of the last 4 weeks. The ideal range is 0.8-1.3. If this indicator exceeds 1.5, the risk of injury increases by 3-4 times. Therefore, coaches monitor players' loads on a weekly basis.

The practice of load management is only just beginning to take shape in the Uzbekistan Super League. In hot climate conditions, this issue becomes even more critical โ€” temperature and humidity accelerate player fatigue. Correctly analyzing GPS data and optimizing individual load is an essential skill in modern football.
