The Uzbekistan Super League is the highest level competition of our country's football. Established in 1992 after independence, this league now consists of 14 teams, and new histories are written every year.

League History

The first championship was held in 1992, and Pakhtakor emerged as the winner. Since then, teams such as Pakhtakor, Bunyodkor, Nasaf, and Lokomotiv have won the most titles.

In the mid-2000s, the Bunyodkor team gained international recognition β€” stars like Rivaldo and Zico played for this team.

Current State

The Super League has developed significantly in recent years: stadiums have been modernized, the VAR system has been introduced, and the quality of television broadcasting has improved. Every game is broadcast live via YouTube and TV.

More opportunities have emerged for young footballers β€” a special quota has been introduced for players under 21.

Strongest Teams

Pakhtakor (Tashkent): The team with the most championships. It possesses strong financial support and excellent infrastructure.

Nasaf (Karshi): Internationally recognized as an AFC Cup winner. It has a strong youth system.

AGMK (Almalyk): A team that has developed sharply in recent years and is a contender for the championship.

Problems and Solutions

Stadium attendance is still low β€” averaging 3-5 thousand spectators. To increase this, it is necessary to lower ticket prices, create family zones, and hold fan festivals.

Another problem is the early departure of talented youth abroad. However, on one hand, this demonstrates the quality of Uzbekistan's football.
