Video Analysis in Football: How to Improve Your Own Game

In modern professional football, video analysis is one of the coach's most important tools. But this isn't just for professionals — with a smartphone and simple apps, you too can analyze your own game.

Why is video analysis necessary?

During a game, you cannot see yourself. By watching the video, you can identify the following:

1. Positional errors: Whether you were standing in the right place or not.

2. Passing choices: Whether you passed to the right teammate or if there was a better option.

3. Gaps in defense: Where you left spaces open.

4. Movement: How you moved without the ball.

How to record?

Camera position: Recording from above the field (stands, balcony) is best. If that's not possible — from the side of the field with a wide angle.
