80 percent of footballers are only good with one foot. Being equally proficient with both feet sets you apart from opponents and opens up more opportunities.

Why is it important?

Playing with both feet makes it harder for the opponent to read your movements. More shooting and passing options become available. You can play effectively on any side of the pitch. This also increases your transfer value.

Exercise Plan

Stage 1 (Weeks 1-2): Use your weak foot more in daily life โ€” climb stairs, open doors. Stage 2 (Weeks 3-4): Pass against a wall 100 times with your weak foot every day. Stage 3 (Weeks 5-8): Dribbling and shooting drills with the weak foot. Stage 4: Consciously use your weak foot more during games.

Patience is Required

Developing the weak foot takes 3-6 months. At first, it will feel uncomfortable and difficult โ€” this is normal. Practice every day, even if only for a little while. Over time, the difference will be noticeable.

Messi also plays wonderfully with his right foot โ€” this is the result of practice.
