The goalkeeper is the team's last line of defense. Their reflexes, jumping technique, and positioning ability determine the outcome of the game.

Reflex Exercises

Short-range shots: Shots are taken from 5-6 meters from various angles; the goalkeeper must react quickly. Tennis ball exercise: Catching a small ball improves reflexes. Two-ball exercise: Reacting to balls coming from two directions simultaneously.

Jumping Technique

Basic position: Knees slightly bent, weight on the balls of the feet, arms ready at the sides. Side jumps: The first step is in the direction of the jump, stretch the body, and catch the ball with both hands. Low dives: Landing softly on the ground is important to prevent knee and elbow injuries.

Playing with Feet

A modern goalkeeper must also be skilled with their feet. Receiving the ball, giving accurate passes, and sometimes playing out to the halfway line are essential skills for today's goalkeepers. Manuel Neuer and Ederson are the best examples in this regard.

Being a goalkeeper is a separate art and a great responsibility.
